Guido Giuntoli

Blockchain Developer at Rather Labs

Guido Giuntoli has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Guido started their career as a Research Development Software Developer at CNEA, where they validated a parallel MPI Finite Element code and implemented an efficient transport algorithm. Guido then moved to Tecna, where they worked on nuclear engineering computational simulations, developing applications to simulate nuclear reactor effects and optimizing the computation of the fuel temperature feedback effect.

In 2016, Guido joined the Barcelona Supercomputing Center as a PHD Researcher. During their time there, they designed and developed a C++ Finite Element software to model micro-structure effects of composite materials, optimizing the code for GPU offloading and achieving high scalability and performance.

In 2020, Guido joined Huawei Deutschland as a Software Solution Architect for Advanced Computing. Here, they developed proxy applications, identified scientific applications for SVE vectorized code, and developed a new roofline model technique for the ARM Kunpeng chip.

Following this, Guido worked at Umbrella Network as a Blockchain Engineer, where they expanded an oracle for the Solana blockchain, programmed a Solidity-based implementation of a soulbound token, and created a NestJS-based backend service. Guido then moved to UBet Sports as a Blockchain Engineer Contractor, where they created a TypeScript-based AWS Lambda service, standardized smart contracts, and improved code coverage for the Subgraph infrastructure. Currently, Guido is working at Rather Labs, Inc as a Blockchain Developer.

Guido Giuntoli completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in High Performance Computing from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master Equivalent degree in Nuclear Engineering from Instituto Balseiro, completing their studies from 2010 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Guido Giuntoli also obtained several certifications. These certifications include Interviewing Skills from Saylor Academy (obtained in April 2023), Blockchain Assessments on AlgoExpert.io from AlgoExpert (obtained in January 2023), Advanced Solidity: Understanding and Optimizing Gas Costs from Udemy (obtained in October 2022), Golden Award Jurassic Code from Codility (obtained in June 2022), Golden Award Fury Road from Codility (obtained in May 2022), Cryptography I from Coursera (obtained in April 2022), Golden Award Muad'Dib's from Codility (obtained in March 2022), Blockchain Scalability and its Foundations in Distributed Systems from Coursera (obtained in February 2022), Golden Award Year of the Tiger from Codility (obtained in January 2022), Golden Award Pair a Coder from Codility (obtained in 2022), Golden Award Gamer's from Codility (obtained in October 2021), Learn Rust by Building Real Applications from Udemy (obtained in October 2021), Algoexpert Certificate - Completing 100 Coding Questions from AlgoExpert (obtained in September 2021), Golden Award Spooktober from Codility (obtained in September 2021), Blockchain Developer Bootcamp from Dapp University (obtained in August 2021), Golden Award National Coding Week from Codility (obtained in August 2021), Golden Award The Coder of Rivia from Codility (obtained in July 2021), Golden Award Fast & Curious from Codility (obtained in June 2021), React js.
