Georg Holländer trained in both Pediatrics and Experimental Immunology in Switzerland and the U.S. He held academic positions at Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S. and the University of Basel, Switzerland before he joined the University of Oxford, UK in 2010. Since 2019, he is also the Director of the Botnar Research Centre for Child Health. His research is focused on the development and function of the immune system, with a particular interest in how the immune system can effectively distinguish between the body’s own cells and potentially harmful antigens of other origins.
