Senior Software Engineer at Ravio

Chris Heppell has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Ravio starting from 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Technical Lead (Backend - Go) at Passbase from May 2022 to February 2023. In this role, they led the development of Passbase's identity verification platform using Go and AWS.

From October 2019 to May 2022, Chris worked at Redgate Software as a Full Stack Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they contributed to the development and launch of Spawn, a Kubernetes-based database provisioning service. Chris also served as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Redgate Software from August 2015 to October 2019.

During their time at the University of Birmingham, Chris pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science and graduated with First-Class honors. Chris conducted research on the security of UK Mobile Banking applications, resulting in a published paper in Financial Cryptography and Data Security.

Furthermore, Chris gained experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Redgate Software in 2014 and completed a student work experience at RealVNC in 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Temporary Admissions Administrator at Anglia Ruskin University and as an Operations Team Member at Waitrose from 2013 to 2014 and 2011 to 2012, respectively.

Chris Heppell began their education in 2010 at Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge, where they studied but did not receive a degree. From 2012 to 2015, they attended the University of Birmingham, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science.
