Maria Christina Marchi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Maria Christina started their career in 2011 as an intern at The Sunday Times and Time Out, where they supported journalists, organized events, and wrote articles that were published. In 2013, they began their academic journey as a PHD candidate at the University of St Andrews, focusing on Italian national identity. During their time there, Maria published a book review and conducted tutoring in late modern history. Maria Christina also held visiting researcher positions at the European University Institute and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. In 2014, Maria joined Kaiser Associates as a research analyst for a short period. In 2016, they joined DVELP as a marketing professional, responsible for website content, event coordination, and project management. Maria continued their marketing career at Stuart, where they held positions such as Senior Marketing Executive, Marketing Manager, and UK Marketing Lead. Their responsibilities at Stuart included leading marketing initiatives and collaborating with various businesses to enable smarter transportation models. Currently, Maria is working as the Global Marketing Lead at Ravio, a position they have held since 2023. Overall, Maria has experience in marketing, research, academia, and journalism.

Maria Christina Marchi attended the European School of Varese from 2000 to 2008, where they completed their high school education. Following that, from 2008 to 2012, they pursued an undergraduate degree at the University of St Andrews, majoring in English and Modern History. Their studies at St Andrews focused on various subjects, including Kaiser Wilhelm II, Memory and Identity in Post-war European Democracies, and Creative Writing. Maria then went on to UCL in 2012 and earned a Master of Arts (MA) in European History, specializing in Nations and Nationalism, as well as Italy: A Difficult Modernity, which they completed in 2013. Additionally, in November 2019, they obtained a certification in Account-based marketing training from B2B Marketing.
