Jonas Antonsson has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry, investment, and technology. Jonas started their career in 2001 as a consultant for Teymi, where they worked on the implementation of Oracle e-Business Suite for Icelandic government agencies. From 2003 to 2005, Antonsson served as a senior developer at Creditinfo Iceland, leading the design and architecture of a distributed online system for credit rating and reporting.
Antonsson then joined HugurAx as a senior developer, where they oversaw the design and implementation of an online time management and registration system. In 2006, they co-founded Gogogic, an independent game developer specializing in multiplayer/MMO games for browser and mobile devices. Jonas served as the CEO, creative director, and co-founder of Gogogic until 2012. During this time, Gogogic developed and published its own titles and produced games for Nickelodeon, NBC Universal, Fresh Games, Big Fish Games, and others.
Alongside their work at Gogogic, Antonsson also worked as a part-time teacher at Reykjavik University, teaching courses on game design, operating systems, and networks from 2006 to 2012. In 2012, they established their own company, Irisi ehf, where they provided strategic assistance to various companies in the gaming industry, focusing on overall strategy, business development, experience design, funding, and monetization.
Antonsson also worked at Meteor Entertainment, a Seattle-based games publisher, as part of the strategic initiatives team from 2012 to 2013. Jonas contributed to the development of the company's European publisher, PR, and marketing strategy, as well as scouting potential locations for expansion.
From 2013 to 2015, Antonsson served as the vice president of mobile at Paradox Interactive, where they played a significant role in establishing the company's presence in the mobile gaming market. Then, in 2015, they joined Raw Fury as the Reality Distortionist and Chief Everything Officer, actively distorting reality to suit personal needs and contributing to the creation of black holes.
Throughout their career, Antonsson has also been involved in private investments and has served on various boards for different companies.
Jonas Antonsson earned a Diploma in Computer Science from Reykjavik University, completing their studies from 2003 to 2006.
