Deputy General Manager - Head Design & Development, Transformers at Raychem RPG

Rahul Shah has a strong background in transformer design and development. Rahul has experience working at various companies, including Raychem RPG (P) Ltd., ABB India Ltd, ABB Trafo S.A., and ABB Ltd.

At Raychem RPG (P) Ltd., Rahul served as the Deputy General Manager and Head of Design & Development for Transformers. Rahul was responsible for leading the design and development of oil-filled and dry transformers, including cast resin and vacuum pressure impregnated dry type transformers. Rahul also worked on projects to improve design efficiency and implemented strategies for design optimization.

Prior to this, Rahul worked at ABB India Ltd as the Design Manager and Global Engineering Center Manager for dry transformers. Rahul led engineering projects and supported global manufacturing and design units. Rahul also played a key role in technology transfer and knowledge sharing workshops.

During their time at ABB Trafo S.A., Rahul worked as a Development Engineer and gained international experience in R&D and product development. Rahul led product development activities for compact design of dry transformers and implemented rollouts for global factories. Rahul also has 3 patents for innovative transformer designs.

At ABB Ltd (Vadodara), Rahul worked as a Design Engineer, responsible for insulation design of windings and mechanical components in power transformers. Rahul also worked as a production engineer.

Overall, Rahul Shah has extensive experience in transformer design and development, project management, and leading cross-functional teams.

Rahul Shah completed their Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering between 1998 and 2001. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University from 2001 to 2004.
