Girts Ruda

Girts Ruda serves as a Member of the Supervisory Board at RB Rail AS, overseeing the Rail Baltica project, the largest infrastructure endeavor in the Baltic region in a century, since February 2024. Ruda also holds the position of Legal and Administrative Director at VAS "Valsts nekustamie īpašumi"​ and has served as a lecturer at the University of Latvia's Faculty of Law since February 2016, teaching Law Firm Management. Previously, Ruda was the ESG Team Leader at Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns and a Board Member at the Financial and Capital Market Commission, responsible for multiple departments within the financial regulatory body. Additionally, Ruda has a history with RB Rail AS as General Counsel from 2017 to 2020 and was a Partner at Eversheds Bitāns Law Office and SORAINEN, specializing in various areas of law. Ruda has accumulated significant academic credentials, including an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Bristol and an MBA from Riga Business School.
