Bastian Maximus Goonewardena

Bastian Maximus Goonewardena is an experienced security engineer currently working at REA Group since October 2021, holding multiple roles including Security Engineer for Group Security and SPACE Systems Engineer - Security. Prior to REA Group, Bastian served as IT Manager for the APAC region at Catapult, leading IT infrastructure, security, and CloudOps initiatives within a global sports science organization. Previous roles include IT Infrastructure Lead and Help Desk Manager at Presbyterian Ladies' College and Systems Management at the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre. Bastian began a career in IT support and network administration in 2007, gaining extensive experience across various companies. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems from Monash University and ongoing studies toward a Masters of Cyber Security at Edith Cowan University.
