Eric Atkinson

Eric Atkinson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric was appointed as an Industrial Technology Advisor at the National Research Council of Canada in November 2014, which is their current position. Before this, they co-founded ReachBio LLC in August 2007 and served as a Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer until November 2014. ReachBio LLC is a laboratory research services company specializing in primary cell biology. Simultaneously, they also took on the role of President at BroadReach Biosystems Inc. from August 2007 to November 2014. Prior to these entrepreneurial ventures, Eric worked as the Head of Corporate Development at StemCell Technologies Inc. from February 1998 to August 2007. Eric began their career as a Post Doctoral Fellow in Molecular Immunology and B Cell Signal Transduction at the National Jewish Health in 1997, with an end date unspecified.

Eric Atkinson completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology at The University of Lethbridge from 1981 to 1985. Eric then pursued their Master of Science in Immunology at the University of Manitoba between 1985 and 1988. Eric furthered their education by obtaining a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Alberta, where they studied from 1988 to 1995.
