Tomas Rito

Tomas Rito has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tomas is currently working at Reachdesk as a Senior Engineering Manager, leading a team of 8 engineers and collaborating with various stakeholders and teams. Tomas is responsible for the development of Reachdesk's Employee Product and plays a senior role in driving the team towards success. Tomas also participates in hiring and team growth, as well as establishing best practices across the engineering group.

Prior to Reachdesk, Tomas worked at Farfetch as an Engineering Lead, where they led two different teams in the Shipping Cluster. Tomas was responsible for hiring, growing, and coaching the teams, and worked with partners such as FedEx to ensure smooth courier integrations.

Before Farfetch, Tomas worked at Comcast as a Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer. Tomas led a senior team of engineers in building a finance media product and collaborated with product managers and other engineering teams. Tomas also worked as a Software Engineer at Comcast.

Tomas also has experience working at Wiiisdom as a Lead Software Engineer, where they worked on various projects. Tomas also worked as a Junior .Net Analyst and Developer, contributing to the development of a prototype for SharePoint and Windows Active Directory Administration.

At BF Consultores, Tomas worked as a Junior .Net Developer on the Know4All project, which aimed to provide more control over the company's projects. Finally, they served as Vice President of the Associação Académica da Universidade do Minho.

Throughout their career, Tomas has demonstrated strong leadership, technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Tomas Rito's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Informatics, which they completed at Universidade do Minho from 2006 to 2011. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Systems Engineering at the same university from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Tomas also obtained a certification from Microsoft. In March 2013, they received the Microsoft Specialist 70-480 certification in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, achieving a perfect score of 1000/1000.

Furthermore, Tomas engaged in business ideas coaching at TecMinho from 2011 to 2012, focusing on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies.
