Malcolm Harding has over 30 years of work experience in the IT industry. Malcolm started their career as a software engineer at the Financial Times in 1988 and later transitioned to roles such as technical support analyst and network engineer. In 1995, they joined Trinity Mirror, where they held various positions including software developer, technical manager, and IT business manager. Malcolm played a key role in outsourcing the IT department and was involved in acquisition and divestment activities. In 2001, they became the business development director for content and syndication services at Trinity Mirror, managing the company's licensing activities. In 2008, they became the IT commercial manager, responsible for IT Capex and procurement, budget planning, and contract reviews. Since 2014, Malcolm has been the head of IT vendor and commercial management at Reach plc, the UK's largest publisher. In this role, they are responsible for IT service delivery, technical innovation, budget management, and vendor/supplier relationships. Malcolm leads a team of 7 with 4 direct reports.

Malcolm Harding earned a Master's of Science degree in Information Technology and Management from Sheffield Hallam University. Malcolm also obtained certifications in CeH from EC-Council in June 2014 and ITIL3 Foundation in 2014 from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
