Peter Bates

Peter Bates is a Graduate Engineer at Reaction Engines since October 2022, following a Young Graduate Trainee position at the European Space Agency from September 2021 to July 2022, focusing on school didactics in space technology. Prior experience includes serving as an International Operations Support Officer for SEED Madagascar, where responsibilities encompassed KPI tracking and policy review amidst a climate crisis. Peter also worked with Nissan Motor Corporation in customer services, handling complex cases and managing sensitive situations for the Managing Director's team. Earlier roles include completing a summer placement at Rolls-Royce with a focus on technology management and an industrial placement year utilizing modelling techniques in manufacturing. Academically, Peter holds an MEng Hons in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, along with an exchange year at the University of Melbourne.
