Michael Butcher has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Michael started their career at Riot Games as a 2D Contractor, where they worked on character skin orthographics for League of Legends. Michael then joined Turbine as a 3D Artist, working on various projects including Infinite Crisis and Dungeons and Dragons Online. After that, they worked at Electronic Arts (EA) as a 3D Artist Contractor, contributing to Dawngate and an unannounced mobile title. At NCSOFT, Michael took on the role of Senior Character Artist, focusing on creating high-quality character models and providing art direction and feedback to outsourcing teams. Michael later worked at Carbine Studios as a Senior Character Artist, working on two unannounced projects and collaborating with the Lead Character Artist to establish visual benchmarks and processes. Michael also worked as a freelance Senior Character Artist and most recently joined Ready At Dawn Studios as a Senior Character Artist.
Michael Butcher attended Champlain College from 2006 to 2010. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Game & Interactive Development, with a focus on Art & Animation.
