ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - CANADA

The Account Executive is responsible for generating new enterprise customer relationships in the higher education institutions in North America. The ideal candidate will have domain expertise and the ability to foster new relationships with key front line, director level and executive stakeholders in higher education. To ensure effective regional coverage and local market knowledge, it is preferred that the Account Executive resides in Canada.

ROLE PURPOSE

As a member of Ready Education’s team, the Account Executive will play a vital role by being the first point of contact for industry leading organizations. The successful candidate will have a client solution focused approach, has the capability to develop a deep understanding of prospective accounts and their school, enrollment and financial objectives, and has the tenacity to continually develop new accounts and new business.

Vice President of Sales, Americas

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a main driver for prospecting, selling and closing new client relationships

  • Ability to manage all aspects of the sales process from early discovery, proposal, closing and negotiation

  • Confidence and comfort with cold calling and prospecting as a part of daily/weekly work

  • Build a repeatable and methodically driven sales process that provides full visibility to the sales pipeline activities (via a CRM dashboard)

  • Manage a highly organized, high velocity and efficient sales pipeline

  • Drive weekly outbound prospecting activities developing customer acquisition strategies and ensuring appropriate sales plans are in-place and executed

  • Share industry knowledge and customer discovery insights to the Ready Education team to establish long-term client objectives, strategies, and operating plans

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage enterprise sales opportunities with multiple executive stakeholders

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

The Account Executive possess 3+ years of sales, account executive, or business development in roles working with the higher education technology industry. The successful candidate will have a proven record of success prospecting, identifying new client opportunities, solving prospect challenges, securing new accounts and exceeding sales quotas. Established relationships with enrollment management, financial aid, VPSAs and other higher education executives is considered an asset. 

  • Demonstrable success in building pipelines, and converting new accounts, and achieving quota

  • Ability to run strong discovery meetings with multiple influencers and decision-makers

  • Extremely adept in managing complex enterprise wide sales and employing a creative, solution-based mindset

  • Experience in new account acquisition, senior sales, or business development in SaaS organization

  • Successful experience and eagerness for prospecting via phone, email, in person, and through appropriate use of social media

  • Understanding of the US higher education industry is a plus

  • Technology fluency and comfort diving into technology issues with prospects

  • Positive attitude, growth mindset and an eagerness to overcome obstacles and succeed

  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Competency in problem solving, customer/partner relationships, health & technology expertise, and strategic Insight

  • University degree and MBA are considered assets

Although this role is 100% remote, the person in this position should be expected to travel for certain customer / industry / company events and engagements as necessary.
