David G. Hunter

David G. Hunter has extensive work experience in the field of ophthalmology. David G. began their career in 1988 as an Ophthalmology Resident at Mass. Eye and Ear. David G. then moved to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1991, where they served as a Fellow in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. In 1992, they became an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University. In 2002, they were appointed as Ophthalmologist-in-Chief at Boston Children's Hospital, as well as Professor and Vice Chair of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. In 2006, they became Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of AAPOS. In 2010, they were appointed Past Vice-President of the Association For Research in Vision & Ophthalmology (ARVO) and also became the Founder of Rebion.

David G. Hunter obtained their MD, PhD from Baylor College of Medicine in 1987, with their PhD in Cell Biology. David G. obtained their BS in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in 1979. Additionally, they obtained certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in October 2013.
