Ricardo Repenning Bzdigian

CTO & Co-founder at Reborn Electric Motors

Ricardo Repenning Bzdigian has had a varied and successful work experience. In 2009, they founded and edited the Joven Matematico Magazine, a mathematics magazine focused on publishing interesting mathematic topics written by young Latin-American researchers and post graduate students. In 2010, they founded and led Volta UC, a social responsibility project with the main objective of changing the passive attitude regarding the development of technology in Chile. In 2013, they worked as a Function Developer in BMW's Research and Innovation Center in Munich, Germany, where they designed control algorithms for BMW electric car motors. In 2014, they worked part-time as a professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of Pontificia Universaidad Católica de Chile, teaching Dynamics and Control of Electrical Machine Drives. In 2015, they co-founded and became CEO of RT Electronics SpA, an engineering company with expertise in Hardware, Software and Firmware design applied to the renewable energy and automotive sectors. In 2016, they co-founded and became CTO of Reborn Electric SpA, which develops the electrification of diesel buses for the Chilean public transport system. Finally, in 2019, they co-founded and became COO of Muon Vision, which aims to address inefficiencies of mineral processing, and in particular improving the economics for Cu production.

Ricardo Repenning Bzdigian obtained their Electrical Engineer degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2012. Ricardo then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2011-2013. In 2013, they completed an exchange semester at the Technical University of Munich, where they obtained an MSc. Thesis in Power Electronics and Electrical Machine Drives. Ricardo is currently pursuing a Master of Science - MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
