Safety Validation - Project Re:car at Re:Build Manufacturing

Benjamin Frank has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Benjamin started their career as an Associate Engineer at Engineering Technology Associates, Inc. in 1995. From 1997 to 2007, they worked at Ford Motor Company as a Product Design Engineer, specializing in Crash Safety Development. At Ford, they were responsible for creating test plans, analyzing test results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal crash safety requirements.

In 2007, Benjamin joined Exponent as a Senior Engineer and Project Manager. Their role involved reconstructing motor vehicle accidents and evaluating the performance of vehicle structures. Benjamin managed multiple projects simultaneously, inspecting damaged and exemplar vehicles to assess deformation and behavior during accidents.

From 2017 to 2020, Benjamin worked at Karma Automotive LLC as the Lead Vehicle Test Engineer for Safety Systems Integration. Benjamin played a crucial role in planning, testing, and documenting certifications for Karma vehicles to meet regulatory and internal crash requirements. Benjamin also contributed to the development of the company's safety strategy and future vehicle targets.

Continuing their career progression, Benjamin joined Aptiv in 2020 as a Project Owner, leading the Vehicle Test team for Level 2+ autonomous vehicle lines at an OEM. Their responsibilities included managing engineering teams, evaluating ADAS features, conducting demonstration drives for executives, and overseeing vehicle integration, testing, and software evaluations.

In 2021, Benjamin joined Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. as a Senior Consultant. Here, they provided engineering consultation services, specializing in vehicle accident reconstruction and analysis, mechanical system evaluation, and failure analysis. Benjamin examined various vehicles, assessed damage related to reported accidents, and determined if there were any signs of potential fraud.

Currently, Benjamin is working at Re:Build Manufacturing as a Safety Validation expert on the Project Re:Car. Their role involves ensuring safety standards and protocols are met for the project.

Throughout their career, Benjamin has consistently demonstrated strong technical skills and expertise in the field of automotive engineering and safety.

Benjamin Frank pursued their education with a focus on engineering. Benjamin first attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they joined the University of Michigan from 1993 to 1995 to pursue a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. As for additional certifications, in June 2011, Benjamin Frank obtained the Professional Engineer designation from the institution of Massachusetts.
