Crystal Lin is a Business Development Representative at Recapped, where they help companies simplify complex sales motions, keep buyers engaged through the finish line and give them complete visibility into what's actually happening in deals. Crystal is the 3rd member of the Business Development Team.

Before joining Recapped, Crystal was with GalaxyCon LLC for 1 year 9 months, where they reimagined event production and operations, pivoting the business to virtual events with the onset of the pandemic. Crystal researched, evaluated, and launched livestream and video chat platforms to successfully execute interactions between celebrities and fans. Crystal also oversaw the fulfillment of celebrity autograph and merchandise orders, driving down costs with innovative shipping solutions and partnering with senior operations leaders to meet and exceed budget expectations.

During their time at GalaxyCon, Crystal orchestrated an average of 4 virtual events per weekend featuring the participation of 4 celebrity personalities, tracking talent interactions with 400 customers from start through completion. Crystal also created the “Selfie Snapshot” as a secondary revenue stream, optimizing processes to fill orders quickly and generating $7500+ gross revenue monthly. In addition, Crystal innovated ticketing systems to manage the sale of celebrity autographs and oversaw the selection of shipping vendors to fulfill orders. Crystal also spearheaded the creation of a merchandise system and online shopping interface using eBay and Shopify, driving a sales increase of 125% in global sales.

Due to the pandemic, Crystal also drove vendor conversion rates by designing and deploying vendor spotlight posts on social media. Crystal also created and launched a vendor transfer / refund request and rescheduling tracking system to monitor and facilitate requests.

Before their event planning career, Crystal was an Executive Assistant, where they partnered with senior leadership to advance event marketing and event operations strategies, communicating with internal departments and coordinating efforts for multiple ongoing projects. Crystal orchestrated community outreach efforts to amplify brand, interfaced with media contacts to generate public relations opportunities, and identified exclusive event audiences, encouraging attendance with free admission and additional perquisites. Crystal provided hands-on assistance in all aspects of event preparations and logistics, acted as brand ambassador and curated consumer information and marketing data on-site. Crystal also spearheaded printing initiatives, providing creative input and realizing cost savings without compromising quality.

Crystal Lin attended East Carolina University from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metals Design. Crystal also participated in the Italy Intensive Study Abroad Program in 2011 and was a member of the Asian Student Association. Crystal Lin transferred to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2006.
