Kaitlin (Kiki) Adams

Head of Linguistics at Receptiviti

Kaitlin (Kiki) Adams has a diverse work experience. In 2016, they joined Receptiviti as a founding team member and Head of Linguistics. At Receptiviti, they work to solve big problems using Language Psychology, which allows them to understand people's psychological and cognitive states based on the way they use language. In 2014, they became self-employed as a Private Tutor. Additionally, they worked at The University of Texas at Austin as a Lab Intern and Research Assistant. As a Lab Intern, they worked on a team to develop the internal dictionary for LIWC 2015 (Language Inquiry and Word Count). Kaitlin (Kiki) also assisted visiting undergraduates in creating LIWC dictionaries to represent and quantify the psychological constructs of mindfulness and of busyness. As a Research Assistant, they collected, transcribed, and analyzed data.

Kaitlin (Kiki) Adams obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics with a Psychology Minor from The University of Texas at Austin between 2012 and 2016. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from The University of Cambridge and is expected to obtain a Creative Writing Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2016.
