Peter Kruger

Peter Kruger has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial positions. Peter is currently the Head of Strategy - Oral Solid Dose at Recipharm since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager at Recipharm starting from November 2019.

Before joining Recipharm, Peter held the position of Site Director and Transformation Consultant at TULIP FOODS LIMITED from January 2017 to October 2018, where they drove transformation and operational improvements, provided site leadership, and enabled significant turnaround of performance. Peter also worked as a Consultant Director at Cavendish Management Resources from 2016 to 2017.

From 2009 to 2015, Peter worked at Smith & Nephew, first as the MD & Site Director - S&N Suzhou (China), overseeing daily site operations and implementing a manufacturing strategy involving transfer of production from the UK to China. Peter then served as the FD AWM Global Manufacturing & Supply, where they led finance, strategy, and risk mitigation for global manufacturing and supply.

Peter started their career as an International Strategy Consultant from 2006 to 2009 and worked as the Director - Strategic Manufacturing Improvement Project at Valeant Pharmaceuticals from 2003 to 2007. Peter also held various finance director roles at GlaxoSmithKline from 1999 to 2003 and served as the Group Financial Controller at Pura Foods from 1997 to 1999. Peter began their career as the Commercial Finance Director at Appletizer South Africa from 1995 to 1997.

Peter Kruger has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) and B. Proc (Law) degree from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from Rand Afrikaans University.
