Maria-Franca Silla

Maria-Franca Silla has over 20 years of work experience. Maria-Franca began their career as a Customer Service Representative at the Royal Bank of Canada in 1995 and worked there until 1999. Maria-Franca then worked as a Student and Articling Student at Borden Ladner Gervais from 2003 to 2004. Following that, they served as a Lawyer at Goldstein, Flanz and Fishman from 2005 to 2006. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Legal Counsel at Uniboard Canada Inc. Silla then joined PPG Industries in 2009 and held various roles, including Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel until 2017. During their time at PPG Industries, they gained expertise in commercial law, corporate law, employment law, and litigation management. In 2017, they became a Lawyer in Private Practice, providing legal services in commercial and corporate law. In 2019, they joined Accedian Networks Inc. as a Senior Legal Counsel for a brief period before joining Recochem Inc. as General Counsel. Maria-Franca currently holds the position of Vice President, Legal Affairs and Risk Management at Recochem Inc.

Maria-Franca Silla attended McGill University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Human Resources and Labour Management. Maria-Franca then pursued further studies at McGill University from 1999 to 2003, completing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Common Law, as well as a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) degree.
