Sakya Mohapatra has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research fields. Beginning in 2007, Sakya worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Drexel University until 2009. From 2009 to 2019, Sakya held several roles at Merck, including Chemist, Staff Chemical Engineer/Scientist, Scientist, and Senior Scientist in Formulation Sciences. In 2019, Sakya joined The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Scientist, focusing on Drug Product Development, and later transitioned to become a Team Leader and CMC Leader. Currently, Sakya works at ReCode Therapeutics, where they have held the positions of Director of Formulation Development and Senior Director of Formulation and Process Development.
Sakya Mohapatra completed a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from Sathyabama University in the years 2002-2006. After that, Sakya pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University from the years 2006-2009. Before these higher education degrees, Sakya attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, but the specific years and degree attained at that institution are unknown.
