Horst Weyerhaeuser

Horst Weyerhaeuser is an experienced professional in natural resource management, rural development, and sustainable forestry, currently serving as Regional Senior Advisor at Wyss Academy for Nature in Southeast Asia since August 2023. Weyerhaeuser has a diverse background, including self-employment as a project management and environment consultant since September 2021, and consulting roles with RECOFTC, where responsibilities included developing a Sida-funded initiative on forest governance. Previous positions encompass roles as International Expert at Weyerhaeuser Consulting and Program Coordinator at UNOPS Myanmar, alongside significant contributions as Senior Scientist at the World Agroforestry Centre and Director of the Mountain Societies Research Institute with the Aga Khan Development Network.
