Joseph Bateman

Joseph Bateman has a diverse work experience. Joseph currently holds the position of Director for North American Legal and Compliance at Recordati Rare Diseases North America since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Porzio Bromberg & Newman P.C., where they started in September 2021 and ended in March 2023. Joseph also worked as a Compliance Associate at Porzio Life Sciences, LLC during the same period. Before that, they served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Lisa P. Thornton, A.J.S.C. at New Jersey Courts from July 2020 to September 2021. Joseph also gained experience as a Paralegal at the United States Attorneys' Offices from October 2018 to July 2020. Joseph participated in an Ethics and Compliance Fellowship at BD for three months in 2018. Furthermore, Joseph interned at DiFrancesco, Bateman, Kunzman, Davis, Lehrer & Flaum, P.C. from December 2015 to June 2018, under the Honorable Justice Barry T. Albin from February 2018 to May 2018, and under the Honorable James F. Hyland, J.S.C. from May 2017 to August 2017. Joseph also had experience in litigation and forensic accounting support at PKF O'Connor Davies, LLP from July 2016 to August 2017.

Joseph Bateman completed their education with a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Seton Hall University School of Law between 2016 and 2019. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Immunology and Infectious Disease, with a focus on Microbiology and Immunology, at Penn State University from 2007 to 2011. At the same university, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Toxicology, with a concentration in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, during the same time period.
