Corrado Castellucci

VP, Director Orphan Drugs at Recordati Rare Diseases

Corrado Castellucci is head of Recordati Rare Diseases, the orphan drug division at Recordati. After obtaining a degree in medicine, he pursued his management training in marketing and general management.

He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in the mid-1980s as a medical representative for Gruppo Lepetit, a company where he subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility to finally become Director of Marketing, Medical and Business Operations of Aventis Italy (following company mergers first to form Hoechst Marion Russel and then Aventis Pharma).

In 2004, he moved to AstraZeneca, where he ran both the hospital and oncology business units before becoming Director of the Specialty Care Division.

After his role as CEO of Gilead Sciences Italy and then with the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies NerPharMa and NerPharMa DS, he became General Manager of ADIENNE in 2010, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company whose primary focus is oncology/haematology and bone marrow transplantation.

He joined Recordati in 2013 as Vice President and Director for the Orphan Drugs Business.
