Amol Purohit

Amol Purohit is an accomplished intellectual property attorney with extensive experience in leading IP functions and strategies across various industries. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at Recursion since June 2023, Purohit previously held significant roles including Senior Managing Counsel and Head of Intellectual Property at Chime, where responsibilities included building the IP function from the ground up. Prior experience includes Senior Patent Counsel at Lyft, where Purohit managed patent issues and contributed to strategic mergers and acquisitions, and Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Comscore, overseeing a diverse IP portfolio. Earlier roles include leadership positions at Under Armour and legal practice at Edell Shapiro & Finnan LLC and Reed Smith LLP, alongside foundational experience at Carnegie Mellon University's Technology Transfer Office. Amol Purohit holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
