Michael Secora

Michael joined Recursion in 2020 as its Chief Financial Officer and leverages his decade-plus of experience investing in technology, biotechnology and the intersection of these sectors to innovate the means to capitalize and commercialize Recursion's vast asset pipeline. Prior to Recursion, Michael was Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets and Venture at Laurion Capital, an asset manager based in New York City who has been influential within the capital markets complex. A self-proclaimed “student of the capital markets” with a scientific background, Michael has closely observed the emergence and evolution of technology-enabled drug discovery, having worked with and invested in companies in that novel space. Michael received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in Applied and Computational Mathematics and bachelor degrees from MIT in Mathematics and Physics.
