Catalina Jaime is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in disaster risk reduction, climate action, and conflict management. Currently serving as the Head of Climate and Conflict at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre since January 2016, Catalina also holds the position of Lead Anticipatory Action in Conflict at Anticipation Hub. Previous roles include managing disaster recovery programs with the Swiss Red Cross and working in various capacities related to climate change adaptation with the German Red Cross. Catalina has been involved in significant disaster response efforts, including leading information management for the Shelter Cluster during the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Academic qualifications include a PhD candidate at the University of Twente, along with master's degrees in Conflict, Disaster, and Peacebuilding from Uppsala University and International Humanitarian Action from the University of Deusto, complemented by an industrial engineering degree focused on risk management from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada.
