Steve Lyon

Steve Lyon has had a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Steve most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Red Industries since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Interim Financial Professional at ISS A/S from February 2020 to February 2021. In 2019, Steve held the position of Interim Finance Director at Boffix Ltd from September to December.

From 2010 to 2019, they worked at PlayPower, Inc. as CFO EMEA, where they played a key role in streamlining reporting and KPIs, conducting analysis for board approval, and integrating acquisitions that contributed $15M in revenue. Steve also developed the financial model projection for the consolidated EMEA business.

Before PlayPower, Steve was the Finance Director at HAGS SMP Ltd from 2006 to 2010. In this role, they led the upgradation of a manufacturing site, implemented new systems and reporting processes, and restructured the finance team.

Earlier in their career, Steve worked as an Interim Management Specialist at Alexander Mann Solutions in 2005 and as an Interim Financial Controller at Corinth Healthcare from February to November 2005.

Steve's work experience also includes tenure at Safetykleen, where they served as the Group Financial Controller from 2000 to 2004 and as a Financial Controller from 1995 to 1999. In these roles, they were responsible for reporting, board packs, bank covenant, and cash flow forecasts. Steve also temporarily acted as the interim FD while a new Group FD was recruited.

Steve Lyon has a degree in Accounting & Management Control (BA Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University. Steve is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA). No start or end years were provided for either education experience.
