About the Editorial Associate Role

We are looking for Editorial Associates as passionate about the written word as they are seeing it brought to life in the final format, including interactive and digital tools like e-learning platforms, VR/ AR technologies, ppt slides, workshops, among others.

Responsibilities
• Execute MLR submission processes and perform submissions directly into client MLR systems (such as eMAPS, Veeva Vault, Zinc, MyPRB, ePTS, GCMA).
• Verify the medical data/information against source content (fact-check).
• Provide referencing for medical data/information by referring to relevant online content.
• Create bibliographies in AMA style.
• Review the deliverables and validate their accuracy (ensuring all copy has been included, check formatting against specifications, identifying layout issues, and reviewing for overall comprehension) prior to submission into MLR systems.
• Collaborate with various team members including the medical writers, project managers, and/or editors to ensure accurate and timely submissions in MLR systems.
• Work with medical director/medical writers to resolve referencing queries.
• Work within copy deck formats that appropriately record changes, style decisions, source materials, and referencing requirements.
• Contribute to support tasks for medical writing function.

Capability Requirements – Education, Skills & Experience
• Post-secondary science degree/diploma required (Bachelor's/Master’s degree in life sciences and/or professional experience a plus)
• Preference for a mixed science and journalism/communication background.
• Minimum one year of experience in copywriting/editing/fact checking.
• Prior experience in digital media, web applications or new technology beneficial.
• Ability to perform web searches to find accurate medical sources.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and understand the basic concepts within medical text
• Attitude to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload across multiple projects under tight timelines.
• Collaborative style that will work well across departments, cultures, and geographies.
• Ability to assume personal ownership and accountability for business results.
• Detail oriented and highly organized individual.
• Naturally inquisitive and attentive individual.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Exemplary written communication skills.
• Fluency in writing and speaking both UK and US English
