Red Nucleus is seeking a freelance Senior/Principal Medical Writer to join our global team for a minimum of 6 months, starting August 2024, with potential to extend to up to 12 months. This role is based out of our office in Farringdon, London, and applicants must be willing to be in the office at least three days a week. The role is outside IR35.

How you will contribute

In this position, you will be working with our Learning & Development (L&D) and Medical Communication teams.

We work on a diverse range of projects, spanning pre- and post-launch drug and medical device brand lifecycles. Our materials reach multiple audiences, including sales representatives and medical science liaisons, and focus on scientific and product knowledge, as well as the skills needed to communicate this with healthcare providers. The materials we produce focus on scientific and product knowledge, as well as the skills needed to communicate this to healthcare providers.

Deliverables can range from full launch curricula to individual assets, including Core message narratives (CMNs), interactive e-learning programs, print modules and infographics, workshop design and development, and patient journey videos

About you

This freelance Senior/Principal Medical Writer role will suit someone with senior medical copywriting experience, solid visual creativity and excellent client handling and facilitation skills.

You’ll be involved with, and for some projects lead, the development of CMNs, primarily cardiometabolic-focused. You’ll love creating concise and clear medical messages, researching and referencing materials, and confidently discussing these with multiple stakeholders including clients and subject matter experts.

With our L&D projects, you’ll also be able to flex your creativity, collaborating with our instructional designers and graphic designers to explore the way in which this information can be communicated visually to fully engage with the relevant audience.

And, you’ll be able to use the your experience to support our junior team members, reviewing their work and providing overall encouragement and advice.
