📣 A bit about the role.

We’re looking for a Head of Creative to join the Brand and Creative team at Butternut.

Are you a person who is able to think strategically whilst producing high-quality creative concepts? Would you like to lead a talented in-house Creative department? Do you want to be on set with lots of dogs? Well, look no further…

In this role, you’ll be responsible for conceptualising, creating and delivering world-class projects. You’re a highly collaborative leader who will constantly be driving the quality of the team around you. You’ll work closely with the director and across our European markets to drive the standard of creative direction and delivery. You will report directly to the Brand & Creative Director.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Creative Lead to head our internal Creative Agency. This individual will be responsible for overseeing high-impact strategic projects, managing a talented team of creatives, and driving the overall creative direction of Butternut Box. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative leadership, a keen eye for design, and the ability to translate business goals into innovative and effective creative strategies.

🎨 In this role, you can expect to…

  • Conceptualise and create global campaigns, tackle big projects/problems to solve as a brand
    • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas
    • Taking insights across our European markets you will conceptualise strong, thought-through concepts
    • Create pitch documents and present your ideas
    • Execute on concepts by turning them into high-quality work.
      • Campaigns - print & digital.
        • Paid & organic social, email, OOH, TV adverts and more
      • Packaging design
        • Existing unboxing experience
        • New product creation and launch content
  • Lead a Creative function
    • Lead the team of of designers, editors, copywriters across multiple projects and always ensure the quality and brand standards are met
    • Direct, motivate and inspired the team to get their best out of them whilst helping them thrive in their careers.
    • Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide articulate and considered feedback to the team
    • Monitor results of team efforts and propose actions for the future
  • Act as a brand guardian
    • Be a brand guardian and consistently work to articulate and execute on-brand communication in Butternut’s tone, values, proposition and visual standards.
      • You’ll clarify our offering whilst constantly assessing what is important to our potential customer base
      • You’ll be responsible for maintaining the visual standards, tone a values
    • As a brand guardian, you’ll inspire others to uphold the standards and manage our brand documents.
    • Evolve the brand identity, and maintain and clearly articulate the brand vision.
  • Meet and pet dogs
    • (not mandatory, but encouraged).

👋 You are:

  • Experienced and confident in your abilities as a Head of Creative
  • A highly strategic creative and non-traditional thinker
    • Plenty of ideas and are able to articulate and pitch concepts clearly.
    • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills in order to make outstanding pitches
    • Articulate in your vision and can inspire others - from teammates, to customers and of course, dogs
  • An organisational powerhouse who’s comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and tight deadlines
  • Someone who has a bias for action and just makes things happen.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Suites
  • Someone who holds high standards for operational excellence: budgets, calendars, timelines, and efficiencies.
  • Well-practised in managing, influencing and inspiring people
    • You know how to work with different types of people and how to get the best out of them.
    • You value building collaborative relationships across teams and functions, both internally and externally
  • Proactive in your approach, anticipating challenges before a project is started.
  • Passionate about the Butternut brand and the values associated with it.
