Kyle Lange

Vice President, Data Science and Search at red violet

Kyle Lange has a diverse work experience in data science, engineering, and research. Kyle is currently serving as the Vice President of Data Science and Search at red violet (NASDAQ: RDVT), a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President of Data Science at the same company from January to April 2022. From July 2019 to January 2022, they worked as the Director of Data Science at red violet.

Before joining red violet, Kyle worked as a Senior Data Scientist at red violet from October 2018 to July 2019, and as a Data Scientist from March 2018 to October 2018. Kyle also worked as a Data Scientist at IDI (a cogint company) from October 2016 to March 2018.

Kyle's earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at AppThis LLC for a brief period in August and September 2016. Kyle also worked at CD Adapco as a Program Manager/Senior Development Engineer in Electrochemistry from August 2013 to August 2016.

Kyle began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Engineering at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from August 2011 to July 2013, where they developed reduced-order modeling code and used it in electromagnetics and solid mechanics problems. Kyle also worked on validating analytical models of composite porous materials and wrote simulation code for batteries using PETSc.

Prior to that, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria from September 2009 to August 2011. During this time, they developed code to model gas flow, charged particle transport, heat transfer, and electrochemical reactions in a PEM fuel cell catalyst layer. Kyle also used advanced imaging techniques to compute effective transport properties.

Kyle's earliest experience includes working as a Graduate Student at UTC SimCenter from 2005 to 2009.

Kyle Lange has a strong educational background in the fields of Computational Engineering, Machine Learning, and Physics. Kyle obtained a Ph.D. in Computational Engineering from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, graduating in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) in Engineering from the same university, from 2005 to 2007.

In terms of their undergraduate education, Kyle Lange earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics from Bucknell University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.

Furthermore, Kyle has undertaken additional certifications in the field of Machine Learning. Kyle completed a Nanodegree in Machine Learning from Udacity during 2016 and obtained multiple course certificates from Coursera in Machine Learning topics such as Classification, Regression, and Foundations: A Case Study Approach throughout 2016.
