Jim Brooke has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Jim is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Rede Partners LLP since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at HSBC from 2018 to 2022, where they held various roles including CFO, Securities Services and Global Head of Management Information. Before HSBC, Jim worked at Morgan Stanley from 2007 to 2018, holding positions such as Head of Business Unit Capital Management and Optimisation and COO, Europe Finance. Jim also has experience in IT cost control at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and as a Finance Director at Telewest. Jim began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Assistant Manager. Jim also has experience as a Board Member of Telford Park Tennis Club and Governor of Eardley Primary School from 2015 to 2020.

Jim Brooke attended Harrow School from 1988 to 1993, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during this time. Jim later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Financial and Business Economics from Newcastle University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1997.
