Martin Sykes

Martin Sykes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business systems architecture, coaching, and technology leadership. Currently serving as a Business Systems Architect at Redgate Software since March 2023, Martin also runs a coaching practice for business and technology leaders. Previously, Martin held the position of Business Systems and Change Director at Team Consulting Limited, where expertise in medical device development was applied. As Conference Chair for the Enterprise Architecture Conference Europe, Martin enhanced conference content and supported new presenters. Martin's notable roles include Director of Alignment, Analysis and Architecture at Cambridge Assessment, and Director of Strategy and Architecture at Microsoft, where foundational strategic frameworks were established. Martin's career also includes key positions at EDS, Open University Business School, Agile Software, and GlaxoSmithKline. Educational qualifications include an MEng in Computer Systems & Software Engineering from the University of York and an MBA from The Open University.
