Shannon Ross

Director of Human Capital at RedGuard

Shannon Ross has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Shannon began their career at Dillions as a Customer Service Representative in 2004, and later transitioned to the role of Human Resources Coordinator at Dillons in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, Shannon worked as an HR Administrator at The Peavey Corporation.

In 2010, Shannon joined Axcet HR Solutions as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, they provided human resource support to multiple clients across various industries. Shannon'sresponsibilities included conducting needs assessments, implementing handbooks, conducting trainings, and minimizing human resource risks.

From 2011 to 2013, Shannon served as a Benefits Coordinator at Axcet HR Solutions. Shannon managed open enrollment for 100 clients, handled FMLA and COBRA processes, and administered benefits.

In 2014, Shannon joined RedGuard as a Human Capital Generalist. Shannon was responsible for onboarding and orientation of new hires, as well as supporting managers and employees in recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and performance management. Shannon also worked on projects such as the implementation of EEO1 and VETS reporting and a new handbook.

Shannon then advanced to the role of Human Capital Supervisor at RedGuard in 2015. In addition to supporting recruitment, employee relations, and development, they managed benefits and payroll for the LANGE organization. Shannon eventually hired and trained a team to assist in these responsibilities.

In 2017, Shannon was promoted to Human Capital Manager at RedGuard. In this position, they directed and managed the human capital team, focusing on strategic planning and supporting the organization's business needs. Shannon worked on projects such as reintroducing the summer intern program, implementing a wellness program, and introducing APD Workforce Now comprehensive service and new hire video.

Shannon currently serves as the Director of Human Capital at RedGuard. Shannon is responsible for leading and managing the human capital and administrative teams. As a member of the Leadership Team, they act as a liaison between the organization and the human capital team, ensuring the execution of company goals and supporting directors and managers in areas such as employee relations, hiring, and policy development.

Shannon Ross attended Friends University from 2001 to 2003, majoring in Business Administration and Management. Shannon then transferred to Kansas State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management & Economics from 2003 to 2006.
