Melanie Witt

Melanie Witt is a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat, focusing on the OpenStack Platform's Compute since April 2016. Additionally, Melanie has been a Community Contributor for OpenStack since 2012, serving as a Nova core reviewer and past PTL for the Rocky and Stein releases. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Yahoo, contributing to the OpenStack development team and a serving platform. Earlier career highlights include internships at Yahoo Search Technologies, teaching assistance in Intro to C Programming at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and performing wireless data acquisition on the Space Shuttle and International Space Station as a Software Design Engineer at Invocon, Inc. Melanie earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, between 2008 and 2010.
