Mario Orbegozo, P.Eng. is a Consulting Engineer with a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Mario has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in RF planning, design, and system engineering.

Mario's most recent role was as the Director of RF Planning & Design at Aviat Networks, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of RF Technology at Redline Communications, where they led the design and planning of RF projects for the Oil and Gas industry using RF planning software tools. Mario also had a role as the Director of Professional Services at Redline, where they focused on detailed RF planning of networks and links using Redline products.

Before their time at Redline Communications, Mario served as a Senior RF System Designer at WaveRider Communications. In this role, they specialized in designing NLOS broadband wireless networks in ISM bands. Mario also gained experience in system design, particularly in the 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz bands.

Mario's early work experience includes roles at Sinclair Technologies, Look Communications, Intercor-Exxon, RCN Broadcasting Network, and Cadena Sutatenza de Colombia. In these positions, they worked on various projects involving the design, maintenance, and operation of RF communications systems, satellite networks, and broadcasting networks.

Throughout their career, Mario has demonstrated their expertise in RF communications theory, RF planning software tools, antenna design, and system engineering. Mario has a strong track record of successfully leading multi-million dollar projects and providing technical guidance in the telecommunications industry.

Mario Orbegozo, P.Eng., Consulting Engineer, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Mario completed their studies from 1974 to 1979.
