Avery Robins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Avery started their career as a Courtesy Clerk and Cashier/Stocker at New Leaf Community Markets from June 2013 to May 2014. In 2014, they worked as a Resident Camp Counselor at Kennolyn Camps where they coordinated gardening programs, facilitated activities for campers, and ensured their safety. From August 2015 to April 2016, Avery interned at Adventure Sports Journal, assisting the publisher. In 2016, they worked as an Operations Intern at SupplyShift, where they gained experience in data management and client support. From June 2014 to January 2020, Avery co-founded the Santa Cruz Bicycle Exchange at the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition. Starting in 2016, they also worked as a Strategic Enterprise Business Development and Customer Success Manager at Looker, contributing to the establishment of Looker's customer success department and managing enterprise contracts. Avery joined Google in February 2020, continuing their role as a Customer Success Manager, Enterprise, after Looker was acquired by Google. Since May 2022, they have been an Enterprise Customer Success Manager at Modern Treasury. Currently, Avery is working at Redpanda Data as a Customer Success Manager starting from May 2023.

Avery Robins obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz between the years 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, Avery attended Leland High School from 2009 to 2012, and before that, Avery attended Stevenson School from 2008 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Avery Robins obtained a certification as a Google Cloud Digital Leader from Google in March 2022.
