Johan Davel

Johan Davel has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Johan began their career in 2003 as a Project Engineer at Kumba Iron Ore and worked there until 2008. From 2008 to 2013, they held the position of Project Manager at Murray and Roberts. In 2013, they joined Redpath Mining Africa as a Raiseboring Manager, a role they held until 2017 when they were promoted to General Manager at Redpath Raiseboring Limited. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Raiseboring at REDPATH MINING.

Johan Davel has a diverse education history. Johan completed an Executive MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, with an anticipated completion date in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 1999 to 2003. Johan'sfield of study during this period was also Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Johan has obtained two certifications. These include "Getting Started with Power BI" and "Power BI Essential Training," both from LinkedIn. Johan completed these certifications in October 2023.
