Executive Assistant to the CTO/VP at RedZone Technologies

Sydney Cromwell has a diverse work experience. From 2009-2011, they worked as an R&D Engineer at Penn State University. In 2010, they served as an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps S1: Battalion Personnel Officer in the US Army, where they coordinated and monitored training efforts. From 2011-2012, Sydney worked as a Project Controls Summer Hire at Bechtel Corporation. Sydney then joined Microsoft as a Consultant from 2012-2014, where they focused primarily on client-facing roles related to Windows deployment and app compatibility projects. Following that, Sydney worked at Starbucks from 2014-2016, starting as a part-time barista and quickly rising to become a manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term sales plans. In 2016, they joined RedZone Technologies as an Executive Assistant to the CTO/VP, where they fulfilled both administrative and technical duties, compiling technical reports and acting as a de facto operations and HR manager. Outside of their professional work, Sydney also pursued their passion for circus arts, training and eventually performing and competing as an award-winning circus artist in between their stints at Microsoft and Starbucks.

Sydney Cromwell completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Engineering from Penn State University between 2007 and 2012. During the same period, they also pursued a minor in Military Strategic Studies, General from the same institution. Additionally, Sydney obtained several certifications including Security+ from CompTIA in April 2013, Warrior Forge - Leadership Development and Assessment Course from the US Army in August 2010, Coffee Master from Starbucks in February 2016, and a Personal Training Certification from the Athletic Certification & Training Commission in June 2014.
