Nicholas began their career in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving as part of a maritime law enforcement team and supporting search and rescue operations.

Nicholas Todd obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from San Diego State University between 2012 and 2014. In 2016, they completed the Blue Angels Leadership Course while serving in the US Navy. Additionally, in 2013, they earned a Character Development/Education Certificate from the University of San Diego. Before that, in 2009, they obtained a Wilderness First Responder certification from Wilderness Medical Associates International. Lastly, in 2004 and 2005, they pursued General Studies at Liberty University.
