Asch Harwood

Asch Harwood is currently the VP of Data and Insight Products at ReFED. Formerly, Asch has worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, where they held various roles such as Data Scientist for the Nigeria Security Tracker and Research Associate for Africa. They have extensive experience in utilizing data and research to influence policy, particularly in the areas of political violence, democracy, and governance in Africa. Additionally, Asch has founded Red Hook Media Lab, worked at UNICEF as an Innovation Lead for Polio, and held positions at organizations such as Reboot and Consortium for Elections and Political Processes. Their academic background includes a PhD in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Diploma in Data Science from BrainStation, a Masters in International Affairs/Development, and a Bachelor's in International Development Studies.
