Cara Todhunter has a diverse work experience spanning different roles in the healthcare industry. Cara currently serves as a Board Member for Hope Haven Farm Sanctuary and Prime Time Adult Care Inc since 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Executive Director at Baptist Homes/Reformed Presbyterian Home, where they led the organization in developing a long-term strategic plan, overseeing fundraising efforts, managing a budget of $5.5 million, and improving the accounts receivable process. Cara also served as the Executive Director at Reformed Presbyterian Home starting in 2017. Earlier in their career, Cara worked as an Administrator at Concordia of Monroeville, Senior Administrative Director and Administrative Director of Health Care Services at Asbury Heights, a Speech Language Pathologist at West Wood Nursing and Rehab, and a Lead Speech Language Pathologist at Wexford House. Their roles involved various responsibilities such as leadership, regulatory compliance, program development, billing, and therapy management.
Cara Todhunter earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Penn State University from 1996 to 2000. Cara then pursued a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist from the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from 2000 to 2002. Later, from 2010 to 2013, Cara attended Carnegie Mellon University and obtained a Master's degree in non-profit and healthcare from the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
