Priscilla María has a diverse range of work experience. Priscilla began their career as an intern at Safe and Sound Campaign in 2011 and later interned at YWCA USA in 2013. In 2015, they worked as a Law Clerk at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, where they conducted legal research and represented clients in disability and employment cases.

María then gained experience in the legal field, serving as a Clinical Intern at the University of California, Irvine School of Law from 2016 to 2017. During this time, they drafted memos and allegation letters on human rights violations and provided client-centered representation to domestic violence survivors.

In 2018, María became a Freelance Mental Health and Legal Writer, creating SEO-driven articles and op-ed essays on mental health and law topics. Priscilla also worked as a Content Writer, generating exposure and higher Google rankings for law firms and nonprofits.

From 2019 onwards, María made a transition into coaching and speaking roles. Priscilla became a Keynote Speaker at Cycle Breakers Club, where they delivered speeches on generational trauma and mental health culture. Priscilla also served as a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach at Cycle Breakers Club LLC, supporting clients through recovery and providing academic coaching.

In 2020, María took on the position of Chief Impact & Strategy Officer at The Confess Project, an organization dedicated to building a culture of mental health for Black boys, men, and their families. Priscilla contributed to their work of training barbers as mental health advocates.

Currently, María is working as a Thrive Coach at Reframe, where they support clients in their journey to reduce alcohol consumption and moderates community meetings.

Overall, Priscilla María has gained experience in coaching, speaking, writing, and legal roles, demonstrating their versatility and dedication to mental health advocacy.

Priscilla María completed their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at UC Irvine from 2014 to 2017. During their time there, they received the Dean's Merit Scholarship. Before that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Africana Studies at The Johns Hopkins University from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Priscilla has also earned certifications as a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach from Moving The Human Spirit (ICF Accredited) in March 2022 and as a Certified Speaker from NAMI - National Alliance on Mental Illness in December 2019.
