Vivian Fernandez

Vivian Fernandez has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Vivian currently serves as the Executive Director of Patient Advocacy at REGENXBIO Inc., a role they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as the Senior Director of Patient Advocacy from June 2019 to March 2022 and as the Director of Patient Advocacy from January 2016 to June 2019. Before joining REGENXBIO Inc., Vivian was the Director of Patient Advocacy at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. from March 2014 to December 2015. Vivian also held various roles at Human Genome Sciences (now GlaxoSmithKline), including Associate Director of Medical Affairs - Grants and Advocacy from 2007 to 2013 and Associate Director of Clinical Operations from 2001 to 2007. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Clinical Scientist in Oncology at Bristol-Myers Squibb from 2000 to 2001 and as an Associate Director of Project Management at Quintiles from 1994 to 2000. Vivian started their career at FIDIA Pharmaceutical Corporation in 1988 as an Assistant Manager of Corporate Development and Scientific Affairs.

Vivian Fernandez completed coursework in business administration at The George Washington University from 1994 to 1995. Vivian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from George Mason University from 1981 to 1985.
