Michael Fischer

Head of Infrastructure, Network & Telephony at Region Hovedstaden

Michael Fischer is the current head of infrastructure, Network & Telephony at Region Hovedstaden. Michael has over 20 years of experience in the field of IT and telecommunications. Fischer started their career in 1995 as a system and network manager for Young & Rubicam. In this role, they were responsible for network and system support in Scandinavia. Michael also project managed, provided DTP support, and implemented client/server solutions. In 2000, they joined COWI as a project manager and VoIP communication manager. at COWI, Fischer was responsible for planning and conducting projects for offices in Denmark and abroad. Michael also provided 2nd and 3rd level Network, VoIP and FireWall/VPN support for offices in Denmark, abroad, and joint venture companies. In 2006, Fischer became the head of infrastructure, Network, Tele and IT-Security services at The Capital Region of Denmark. In this role, they are responsible for the administration and operation of the region's IT infrastructure and telephony systems.

Michael Fischer has a background in healthcare, and has completed various management and leadership programmes. Michael is certified in scrum master, project management and NLP. Michael also holds a bachelor's degree in information technology.

They are on a team with Claus Andersen - Head of Infrastructure, User Management, Keld Hansen - Head of Infrastructure, Server, and Palle Bo Nielsen - Head of Infrastructure, Data & Middleware. Michael Fischer reports to Allan Christiansen, Head of Infrastructure, Division.
