Zohra Qudsia Kaakar is an experienced professional with a strong background in international development, program management, and women's empowerment. Currently serving as a Senior Subgrants Administrator at the National Democratic Institute since May 2018, Zohra has previously held various roles including Subgrants Administrator, Program Officer, and Senior Program Assistant within the organization. Additional experience includes contributing to cultural exchange initiatives at Carolina Friends School, conducting research for WI-HER, LLC, and developing policy briefs for UN Women's initiatives. Zohra's extensive consultancy work with UN Women spans multiple years, focused on gender equality and violence against women, including deputy program management and project development. Zohra holds a Master’s Degree in International Development Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor's Degree in International Comparative Politics and Public International Law from the American University of Central Asia.
