About the Role.

As a Co-op Construction Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting our construction projects from start to completion. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry and provides exposure to various aspects of project management. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and according to plan.

Key Responsibilities.

Construction Administration

  • Maintain hard copy and digital project files, archive superseded files as required

  • Post all documents to the server during construction; ensure server access is maintained and coordinate with IT related issues

  • Coordinate site logistics with the Construction Manager

Quality Control Support

  • Record deficiencies and ensure CM addresses all outstanding deficiencies

  • Ensure quality control by performing walkthrough of buildings; ensure correct finish package is being used for all suites and common areas

  • Liaise with leasing team as required

  • Perform specification review to handover to Property Manager; review finalized drawings

Construction Manager liaison

  • Facilitate quality control processes and turnover procedures

  • Manage document control and ensure compliance

  • Coordinate bi-weekly meetings

  • Provide administrative support as necessary

About You.

  • 1 year education in construction management, project management, or technical trades

  • Prior experience or coursework in construction/project management is an asset

  • Demonstrate leadership abilities

  • Friendly, engaging, and positive personality

  • Strong organizational skills with effective task prioritization.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
