Mike Balbirnie

Mike Balbirnie is an accomplished finance and audit executive with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as EVP and Chief Audit Executive at Regions Financial Corporation since September 2010, Mike previously held various key roles at Wells Fargo from January 1997 to July 2010, including Interim Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Banking and SVP Senior Director of the Audit and Security Division. Prior to Wells Fargo, Mike was the SVP-General Auditor at First Fidelity Bancorp and served as Senior Manager at KPMG. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Saint Joseph's University and furthered education at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
